Two beaches near each other with different characteristics: Le Saline and Porto Istana, only a few minutes away from our Borgo di Campagna.

Le Saline

The amazing beach of Le Saline is 11 minutes far from our Borgo di Campagna. The beach is a few kilometers long and the water gets deep quickly. In the lagoon behind the beach you can admire fishes and birds. It is nice to walk along the beach enjoying the cool sea breeze or practise sports there. A part of the beach has become a dog beach and dog owners can take their dog to the beach. On other beaches in Sardinia dogs are not allowed.

If  you like sailing, kitesurfing and windsurfing Le Saline is the right place for you. There are several schools at the beach where you can learn these water sports.

Porto Istana

It takes 15 minutes by car to reach the beach of Porto Istana, this is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Costa Smeralda. It has fine white sand, the shallow water is crystal clear and the beach is surrounded by juniper trees. Porto Istana lies at the foot of Capo Ceraso in a bay which consists of four separate beaches, surrounded by macchia mediterrana with strawberry trees, stone oaks and olive trees. You can practise windsurfing and sailing in Porto Istana. It is also a perfect diving and snorkeling spot.
