The location of our Borgo di Campagna rural tourism hotel makes it possible to spend relaxing and rejuvenating holidays thanks to the benefits of the countryside and the nearby sea. A typical day here with us is in fact able to combine relaxation, adventure and delights for the palate, offering a sensory journey through olive groves and Mediterranean scrub, the crystal clear waters of the sea and the genuine flavours of the local cuisine. A Sweet Dawn and a King’s Breakfast

The day begins with a breakfast at our hotel, where local flavours embrace tradition and innovation. From honey to myrtle berries, homemade jams and cakes to home-made dairy products, each bite is a journey through the flavours of Gallura. The aromas of coffee and the genuine flavours of local products are the perfect charge to start the day.

Regenerating walk

After breakfast, it is a must to take advantage of the cool morning air for a walk in the lush countryside surrounding the village. Directions: breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the tranquillity in the shadows of the oak and olive groves, feel the crunch of branches under your feet, perhaps after meeting and getting to know our horses or peacocks grazing freely.

A Kitesurf Ride

The adventure continues with a touch of adrenaline in the direction of Saline beach, where the wind is the absolute star of the moment. With the kitesurfing school that has been present on the beach for years, you can take kitesurfing lessons and ply the sea with this fantastic sport. From the use of the kite to practice in the sea with the bodydrag up to the first boards with real board and kite!

Lunch at Murta Maria: local fish and good vermentino wine

When the lunch break arrives, you can move on to Murta Maria, a small village behind the beautiful beach of Porto Istana. What better place to enjoy local mussels, typical appetisers, crispy prawns and golden squid before setting off again and relaxing on the beach.

The beach of Murta Maria is actually Porto Istana, famous for its fine sand and transparent waters! It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the area along with Porto taverna and la Cinta and is characterised by a very shallow water suitable for everyone and several beautiful coves. There are bars, sunbed and umbrella rentals, canoes, and pedal boats on the beach.

Aperitif among the Vineyards

Back at the hotel, an unmissable stop is an aperitif at the Olbios Wine Estates. The scents of the vines mingle harmoniously with those of the fine wines, offering an authentic taste of the region. The estates offer aperitifs with tastings accompanied by the area’s finest Vermentino wines.

History and Nature

Being just a stone’s throw from Pedres Castle, after the aperitif you can move to the top of the Pedres Castle (a fort used by the Pisans in the Middle Ages as a lookout) to enjoy the beauty of the sunset over the Gulf of Olbia.
