October Holidays in Sardinia

Summer on September 22nd ? Not for us, because it is sunny and warm in October!

The temperatures reach about 22/22 degrees during the day and in the evening you just have to wear a thin jacket.

Beaches

The beaches in October are nearly deserted, it is warm, you can enjoy the fresh water, breath clean air and admire the amazing colours of the sea.

Olbia and surrondings

It’s worth visiting the city centers in the surroundings like Olbia with its historical attractions (Basilica di San Simplico, Church San Paolo Apostolo, Villa clorinda) and its archeological sites (Nuraghe of Cabu Abbas, castello Pedres, archeological Ship Museum, acquedotto romano). We also reccomend you to go for shopping in the center, talk a walk in the park Fausto Noce and have a glass of wine during the wine tasting at the winery “Tenute Olbios”.

Excursions

Do not miss a beautiful excursion to Tavolara Island in the marine protected area or to Capo Figari in Golfo Aranci. To discover the “wild side” of Sardinia you can do a hiking tour in “Su Gorroppu” and in Cala Goloritze in Orosei.

Events

In occasion of the most interesting events in Sardinia like Cortes Apertas local people who live in the villages in the inner of Sardinia open their courtyards to show their art, culture and tradition. At the “Gran Galà del Vermentino” in Olbia you can taste the delicous Vermentino wine of the region Gallura.
